Sanklad Digital Ltd. ("we", "our", or "us") operates PandaScribe, a voice-to-text application for macOS, Windows, and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application and website.

PandaScribe is designed with privacy as a core principle. All voice transcription happens locally on your device - your audio recordings and transcriptions are never sent to our servers or any third-party services.

PandaScribe is built to be privacy-first. The following data never leaves your device:

What We Collect

Desktop Application

The PandaScribe desktop application collects minimal data:

• •License key - To validate your purchase and manage device activations
• •Device identifier - A hashed hardware ID to enforce device limits (not personally identifiable)
• •App preferences - Your settings, stored locally on your device

Website

When you visit our website (pandascribe.app), we may collect:

• •Standard server logs - IP address, browser type, pages visited (for security)

• •Email address - Only if you contact support or subscribe to updates

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. GA4 is provided by Google LLC and may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information.

What GA4 collects

• •Pages visited, time on page, and navigation paths
• •Approximate location (country/region) derived from your IP address
• •Device type, browser, screen size, and operating system
• •Referring website (how you found us)
• •Anonymous interaction events: clicks on download buttons, clicks on purchase buttons, and successful purchases (used for conversion measurement)
• •A randomly-generated client identifier stored as a cookie (no personal information)

What GA4 does NOT collect

• ✓Your full IP address (Google anonymizes IPs in the EU/UK)
• ✓Your name, email, payment details, or any voice/transcription data
• ✓Data from the desktop app (analytics is website-only)

Server-side analytics

For accurate purchase measurement, our server may also send purchase events directly to Google Analytics via Google's Measurement Protocol. These events contain only the Stripe transaction ID, purchase amount, currency, and plan type — no personal information.

Legal basis

We rely on our legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding aggregate website usage to improve our product. The data is used only in aggregate form and is not used to identify individual visitors.

How to opt out

• •Use a privacy-focused browser (Brave, Firefox with strict tracking protection, Safari) or a content blocker

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. When you make a purchase:

Hosting & Infrastructure

Our website is hosted on servers provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, located in the European Union. Hetzner complies with GDPR requirements.

Device Permissions

PandaScribe requires certain permissions to function:

macOS

• •Microphone access - To capture your voice for transcription (processed locally)
• •Accessibility access - To type transcribed text into other applications

Windows

• •Microphone access - To capture your voice for transcription (processed locally)

These permissions are used solely to provide the transcription functionality. No data from these permissions is transmitted externally.

Data Retention

• •License data - Retained as long as your license is active
• •Support emails - Retained for up to 2 years after last contact
• •Server logs - Automatically deleted after 30 days

As we operate from the United Kingdom, you have rights under UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR:
