PandaScribe came out of a simple frustration. Voice-to-text tools were either accurate but cloud-based (your audio leaving your device, your transcripts on someone else's servers), or privacy-respecting but slow, clunky, and stuck on one platform.
We wanted the speed of a cloud product with the privacy of local-only processing. So we built it. Whisper running on-device for transcription. A small local LLM for AI instruction mode. Cross-platform, so it works wherever you do. One-time payment, because subscriptions for software you run locally never made sense.
Everything stays on your machine. Your audio never gets uploaded. Your transcripts never get analyzed for training data. We don't have a server to leak them from — by design.
